SkinAwareの製品は、糸の段階から認証・認定を受けたオーガニックコットンを使用しています。オーガニックコットン（有機栽培綿）は、3年以上、化学肥料、農薬を使用していない土地で、古来からの自然を大切にする栽培方法によって、丁寧に育てられています。農薬や化学肥料で栽培されたコットンでは味わえない、柔らかく優しい風合いは、オーガニックコットンならではの特徴です。オーガニックコットンを選ぶことは、大切な地球や栽培者の健やかな生活を守ることにもつながります。適正な価格で取引されるフェアトレードを背景とし、生産者の生活の自立を継続的に支援することができます。

ボタニカルダイ
SkinAwareでは、ボタニカルダイ（植物染め）によって、コレクションごとに様々な色を表現しています。ボタニカルダイは、従来の草木染めとは異なり、植物の花、葉、果実などから抽出した染料をタンパク質で生地に吸着させ、植物本来の持つ鮮やかな発色を実現した新しい染料技術です。植物が持つエネルギーやメッセージを受け取り、自然の色を身につけることでリラックス、ヒーリングなど、様々な効果を感じることができます。

【ラズベリー：ライトピンク】神々の食べ物と知られ、女性の体のバランスを整える効果があると言われています。香り成分のラズベリーケトンは、エッセンシャルオイルとしても活用され、リラックス効果、また、食欲を抑制しダイエットによるイライラを抑える効果があると言われています。
【ログウッド：ネイビー、ブラック】メキシコで主に栽培されるマメ科の常緑低木です。全ての色の要素を持つと言われ、天然染料として世界中で最も親しまれてきました。邪気を祓うお守りの木とされ、法衣の染色としてやナポレオンのフロックコートの色にも使用されていました。

デザイナープロフィール
可児 ひろ海（かに ひろみ）
2001年レディスブランド COCOON（コクーン）を立ち上げ、2007年まで東京をベースにコレクションを展開。ソリッドでありながら、女性の強さと柔らかさが同居したコレクションは、女優、シンガーなどのアーティスト達からも支持された。 Beams, Estnation, nano・universeなどのセレクトショップや、デパートでの販売、ファッション雑誌での掲載も多数。カナダトロントのデザインミュージアムでのコレクション展示や、NYでの展示会開催、パリのトレードショー “Randez ? Vous （ランデブー）”でのコレクション発表など、海外での評価も得た。デザイナー個人としても、愛知万博のアテンダントユニフォームや、資生堂"Za"のスタッフユニフォームの制作を行う。2004年に、オーガニックコットンのレディスラウンジウェア／ランジェリーブランド “Skinware （スキンウェア）”をスタート。伊勢丹新宿店などで販売し、Ethical Fashion（エシカルファッション）の流れの先駆けとなった。2008年にCOCOON、Skinwareのコレクション休止。その後は、グローバルファッションブランドで、デザイナー、コンサルタントとしてブランド立ち上げや、ブランドリニューアルなどの様々なプロジェクトに参画。2013年 Skinwareを、リニューアル再スタートし、2017年 SkinAware 「スキンアウェア」にブランドリニューアル。

Organic Cotton
SkinAware products are made with organic cotton, which are certified by various certification organizations of organic cotton.
With the earth's strength and gentleness, when worn on your bare skin our lingerie and one-mile wear call up "awareness" of yourself and Earth.
Organic cotton is grown with care on land that has been treated without pesticides or chemical fertilizers for at least three years, using time-honored techniques that value nature. A trait of organic cotton is the particularly soft, gentle texture inherent to cotton. Trading with fair prices under fair trade agreements continually supports independent and healthy life of manufactures.

- The NOC Cotton Certification is given to products made 100% of organic cotton and do not use processing such as bleaching, dyeing, softening or other chemical treatments. The certification establishes strict standards, such as: NOC cotton cannot contain regular cotton; the use of chemical pesticides is prohibited, as well as any chemical processing, and the cotton must be fair trade.

- Similar to the NOC Cotton Certification, the NOC Green Certification sets a strict standard for the use of only organic cotton and is the accepted standard when it comes to chemical treatments. Botanical Dyes
SkinAware products are dyed using a botanical dye(*).
Botanical dye is a new dyeing technique that uses the natural and vivid colors of the vegetation by extracting dye from plants' flowers, leaves and fruits. The dye is absorbed by the protein contained in the fabric. When you wear clothes that are botanically dyed, the energy contained in the vegetation, the message, and the color of nature allow you to experience various feelings such as relaxation and healing.

Hiromi Kani
Hiromi Kani has a life dedication to creative works and business development in fashion industry for 15 years.
Started the carrier with launching own fashion label Cocoon in 2001, and Skinware in 2004. For 7 years, developed the brands in Japanese fashion industry as a creative director and also managed its business as a president of the private company. Gained high reputation for the creation of sensual and sophisticated styles.
Presented the collection not only in Tokyo, also in NY, Paris, Tronto.
Stopped own brands in 2008, since then Hiromi has worked for many projects of global fashion companies such us Uniqlo, Agnes b., Benetton, G-Star RAW, Shiseido and Tiffany & Co., as a designer and also business and marketing consultant.
In 2013 relaunched Skinware with new vision "Awareness", expanding the possibility in Japan and United States.
